This was great. My Oreck XL wasn’t picking up the dirt anymore, and I didn’t want to spend the money to take it to the repairman. I watched a YouTube video on how to replace the rollers and belt, and purchased this item. You need a long Phillips screwdriver to open the bottom of the vacuum (the screws are set in quite deeply). It turned out my belt was broken and the rollers were a dirty mess. The roller I received had grey bristles, not red as in the picture, and as the original roller had. The roller fit in easily. I replaced the belt with a little struggle, because it doesn’t stretch that well. Probably a guy with strong hands could do it more easily than I, but I did get it done. The vacuum works like a charm now. I’m so happy with this purchase.

The brush roll that comes with this combo is GREAT! Before putting this new brush on our Oreck XL Pro, the machine felt like you were pushing and tugging on a 10 ton tank from the day we bought the machine. After putting this brushroll on it, it is not only MUCH easier to glide the machine over carpet, but it cleans better than the original factory brush ever did. Great deal for the $$.
