This is exactly what I wanted,
I wanted the original cord – to match my kirby. The price was lower than a generic cord and it was mailed right out too. I was happy with the whole experience.

|Better than origional,
I was a bit upset at having to replace a main item on my G5, and a bit uneasy about the replacement cord (along with anything else) was just a part of planned obsolescence. When I changed the cord I compared them side by side. I would DEFINITELY rate the new/replacement as a lifetime rated cord. The strain relief is built right into the cord…the old, had no strain relief, and the cord was too easy to pull out of the plug. ( NOT that one should EVER pull on the “cord” to unplug, but, sometimes youngins don’t do as they are told.) The new cord is built to handle those accidental mishaps.
