RENEWAL TO MY OLD VACUUM,
I was very happy to have finally ordered these filters. I love the compact vacuum for cleaning my car so the filters have given it a renewal that was needed urgently.

Approach cautiously,
This Shark vacuum comes with only one filter, so when I thought I’d misplaced it, I had to order this “combo pack.”
First an aside about the vacuum itself. Rather than “Shark,” this vacuum should be called “Tasmanian Devil,” because it howls and shrieks and twists in your hand. It grows alarmingly hot in about 10 seconds. It only incidentally manages to clean things, while struggling furiously to get away from you. Its existence is born of primeval chaos. The only time this machine seemed unhappy was when I accidentally vacuumed up about a pint of water.
The new filter seem to work fine, but I clean it after every 30 seconds of use (because I am afraid that if it gets even a little clogged with dust, the Shark will explode.) The main filter is fairly difficult to clean, since dust, cat hair, etc. become trapped in the filter. I think the best way is to simply rinse them out in water, then wait for them to dry. So it is good to have a few filters, so you can use one while the others are drying.
The secondary HEPA filter seems sturdily made, but I haven’t had to replace it. In fact, my original filter looks totally clean, as if I had never used the vacuum. Perhaps air is leaking out before it can be forced through that filter. It certainly doesn’t seem to mount very tightly in the vacuum.
The filters work great, I guess. But boy is this one scary nerve-wracking machine.
