Good replacement hose. Took all of about 20 seconds to swap out.
Like the other reviewer noted, this replacement hose detaches from the metal wand far too easily. You’ll get used to it, though, just like you got used to using the handle and not picking up the DC-14 by the wand and having the latch release so you could watch it tumble down the stairs. You’ll learn to hold the wand in a different place and you won’t think about it again.
The hose material (do I want to say “webbing”?) inbetween the metal ribs of the hose does look thinner than OEM. At first I thought maybe it was just more translucent, or I was used to my old dirty one; but it tends to sag more than the OEM hose; sometimes I have to help it a little bit as I slide the wand back down.
To me, this is a fine replacement hose. Despite what I pointed out above, I’d buy this again in a heartbeat. But if you’re picky or expect things to be exactly 100% the same as OEM, you’re best off going and paying Mr. Dyson full price for his.
SHIPPING: There was the unwrapped hose and my invoice in the box – nothing else. I liked that there was only the box to throw away and no additional packaging/waste… good for the earth and all… but it did strike me as odd. I guess the seller gets them in bulk or something.

This is the product I needed at the price I was willing to pay. It was 10$ cheaper than the “genuine” Dyson product and it works just as well. It shipped quickly and fit easily onto the Dyson. I had the old hose off and the new one on in less than a minute.
