What’s there not to love!?..,
This is a three day review. This little robot is great. I live in appoximatley 300 sq. foot studio with my Chocolate Labrador. The hair accumulates fast in such a small space. I exercise and workout in my apartment daily as well. Doing yoga or any sort of floor work is just gross. I found myself vacuuming everyday and if time alloted sometimes twice a day. Taking out a huge, awkward, annoying, canister vacuum 2x everyday is the last anybody wants to do before they begin their workout or when they get home from a long day. I originally was searching for a high end stick vac to solve my problem of tackling dog hair and dirt dragged in. Then I came across the IRobot pet series!
I have owed the Dyson animal upright in the past and absolutly fell in love with them. But thats not an ideal solution when all I wanted was something easy and fast. So I considered the Dyson animal handheld cordless vac. But, this is not a review of that product. I have been admiring and following the progression and evolution of iRobot’s Roomba since they came out. For many reasons, mainly being the mixed reviews never actually pulled the trigger and purchased one. Until NOW!
I decided to purchase this along with the animal cordless vac. I figured with Amazon’s great return policy I would just send it back if I wasn’t satisfied and the product didn’t live up to expectations. All I can say is, why doesn’t everybody own one of these!? And why did I wait so long to get one of my own!? Simply put, this is the answer to all my needs and wants in regards to cleaning. It cleans every last inch of my apartment! I’ve enjoyed watching it maneuver itself in some of the toughest nooks of my pad. It gets underneath chairs, under the bed, bathroom, under sofa. Im very impressed! I love that it senses when it is coming close to furniture and it slows down so not to damage any furniture. Though in my case this would not make or break my decision as most of my furniture is thrift store and ikea low end pieces. I also love that it heads back to it docking charger after it is done. Some people complain about cleaning the brushes and emptying the bin after every use. I personally have not found this at all a problem. Living in such a small apartment I don’t anticipate having to clean and empty more than every other day. It is way less work than dragging out the bigger vac with all the attachments and cords. I plan to do a deep clean with a regular vacuum once a week or even every other week. I’ll use this Roomba for maintaining the floors and using my handheld for quick upolstery and nooks and crannies messes that the roomba can’t get too.
While I can’t review this product for long term use…. I have to say from first impressions I have nothing bad to say about the Roomba. Some might say Im lazy but I call it using your time wisely:) If you think this will replace your regular vacuum and have unrealistic expectations of what this little guy can do then you will be disappointed. I purchased being the skeptic and I am pleasantly surprised that it has surpassed all of my expectations! Fingers crossed and hoping this product lasts long term. If it lasts and cleans my apartment for me for 1-2 years I think it is, without a doubt, money well spent!

|Best thing I’ve ever bought!,
no more vacuuming for me! It goes everywhere, under sofas, beds, into corners. It’s the 4th member of my family and I have to do nothing except empty it and get it going again.
