Dyson won’t sell these belts, they want you to take it to a dealer to get it replaced. We don’t have a repair/dealer close so I was thrilled to find these. It was fairly easy to install and works great.

|Roller and belt replacement of the DC17,
Apparently the belts wear out and they make a very harsh sound when the teeth on the belt go. Ours lost about an inch of the teeth on the belt and was slipping. Watched Karen’s YouTube how-to DIY installation (linked off their site) for both roller and belt replacement. Sent an Email about which belt matches with which roller and Crucial coordinated the model numbers (8 versus 10 mm versions). Bought belt, roller and extra reach flat (dryer) attachment and maybe 3-4 working days later it was here. This repair took 5 minutes or less.

Fits perfect for my dyson. I broke my belt and the repair center wanted $25. This product was cheap and fit perfectly. Downloaded directions from Internet on how to install. My wife thinks I’m a hero and there was nothing to it.
