Dyson DC18 Filter (DYR-1814)…,
The product arrived when promised, however, it does not match its advertized “Dyson DC18 Filter (DYR-1814)” photograph. The one that arrived is an aftermarket (non-genuine) Dyson product. It is charcoal colored with an active additive to help neutralize odors. It seemed to fit a bit more snug than the original and doesn’t seem to degrade performance (as far as I can tell). During the first few uses, I noted a different odor, but nothing obnoxious…and it lessened with each additional use. Sans appropriate markings, I’m uncertain if this is a washable filter like the original. Would I do it again: yes. FWIW.
