    Best Vaccuum Ever!, December 2, 2011

    I read a lot of reviews on this Dyson before deciding on this model. We have all hardwood floors and some large flat wool area rugs in our home, plus a small dog that sheds way too much. This vaccuum seems quiter than my Kenmore Canister vaccuum but more importantly this Dyson really sucks dirt! I vaccuum reguarly and I couldn’t believe how much dust and dog hair it got off my wool rug when testing it out and I had just vaccuumed it the day before with my Kenmore. Holy cow this is the best vaccuum ever! While expensive, I truly hope this is an invesmtnet that will last years. I read a review where someone said it was hard to push and they exchanged it for a “Shark”… that’s nuts… I have NO clue what they are were doing wrong but this is the easiest most gentle moving vaccuum. I had such ease of using it and putting it together. I should mention it’s pretty heavy if you have to carry it up stairs, I wouldn’t recommend it for elderly or anyone with a bad back.

    Best vacuum cleaner I’ve ever used, December 20, 2011

    It’s also the most expensive, but now that I’ve used it I understand why. Everything on this machine was well thought out. It has plenty of power. It’s light weight. The noise is bearable. I love how I can turn the head to go around corners by rotating the handle rather then having to drag it around. The adjustable length handle is wonderful. I’m on the tall side (6′) and, with the handle fully extended, this vacuum is much more comfortable then others I’ve used.

    From a guy………, January 4, 2012

    First of all, I am a 45 year old single guy. I like really good stuff….I have no tolerance for mediocre equipment. I have been using a Royal commercial stand up unit for about 15 years. The unit rocks…….I have all the micro bags, etc, but it smells like dog or something. Couldn’t shake the smell.

    Anyway, I have a big house and had a friend come to stay and he wanted to clean and wanted a canister unit so he could use a wand or something. Seemed stupid at the time.

    Long story short, i decided i needed one and started researching.

    With all that said……….I love using this thing I am a physics student by college education and so I was looking for the unit with the most power. It took a while to find as most manufacturers don’t really say what their “airwatts” are. This unit had the most (220) I think. I think it had more than other Dyson standups.

    Anyway, I don’t know about airwatts, but i was convinced this thing;
    a.) had good reviews
    b.) could suck a golf ball through a garden hose
    c.) was made well.

    So I bought it (I got a better price on Amazon than refurbished from Dyson……go figure).

    Anyway, it doesn’t smell and it is totally fun to use. You have to empty the canister thought, but that is totally fun and easy. It is like a reward for having sucked up the dirt from your home. As a guy, who would have thought it would be fun to clean…….go figure.

    The only thing i don’t like is that it doesn’t pack up nicely……..meaning I can’t figure out where to wrap the hose. Hopefully a cute girl will come over and help me with that……..so now i just leave it laying around to look at (looks pretty cool) ………….. oh yea………..the retractable cord ROCKS.

    can’t imagine anybody would be too terribly dissapointed with this thing…….if they were, they would have to be somebody who I wouldn’t want to be stuck on a desert island with, if you know what i mean.

    good machine….totally fun.
