Works like a champ!,
I purchased this vacuum to replace a worn out Oreck handheld canister. I used the Oreck for 7 plus years as my primary vacuum for dusting furniture and cleaning all hard floor surfaces – it worked like a champ but finally started to lose suction and the attachments started to crack from the prolonged use. Newer Oreck models did not seem to perform as well, or the ones that did were too expensive, and also they no longer had the carrying strap you can link over your shoulder.
I decided to try this Hoover mainly because of the HEPA filter and also the shoulder strap; the shoulder strap is essential because it allows me to have both hands to manage the vacuum which is especially useful for dusting. This little vacuum did not disappoint! The suction is excellent, the motor is relatively quiet (did not scare my animals), and the HEPA filter works like a charm – very little particle dust circulates back into the air. The unit is compact, all the attachments can be carried on-board, and the telescoping extension wand is sturdy and stows away in half the space when not in use. I could not be more pleased with the performance of this little vacuum and it has easily replaced my trusty Oreck at a fraction of the price.

I LOVE this little canister vacuum. It came with a Hoover Platinum upright. It’s like a giant dustbuster. It is loud, but that’s because it’s at your waist. I can vacuum the kitchen and bathroom floors infinitely more easily than dragging the upright around table and chair legs, etc. I just love it. It makes the job of vacuuming floors so much easier. If Hoover is reading this, it would be better if the variety of attachments could be carried around with the canister for easier switching. It does have rings for whatever, but there are no instructions and the items don’t stay in them so well. So I just leave them in the closet until I need them, which also makes the unit lighter to carry. Too bad Hoover didn’t integrate their storage into the design. Also, the floor attachment does come off while you’re vacuuming unless you really shove into place. But I still love it.
