One AMAZING Vacuum!!,
As a 24 year old Bachelor, this is the 3rd vacuum I have owned. The first one was a cheap, underpowered Dirt Devil Stick Vacuum. The second was a Eureka Superlite that was better, but I sensed that it was still fairly ineffectual . I came across this online and decided to give it a shot. This vacuum has 5 settings; Number 1 is for hard floors, and the next 4 are for carpet. I made the mistake of putting it on number 5, for the highest carpet setting. It did ok, but I wasn’t impressed. Then I thought for a second, and switched it to number 2, the lowest carpet setting. WOW what a change! This thing immediately started sucking up years of crap that my crappy vacuums had failed to get! I had made the mistake of using that “Carpet Fresh” Baking Soda stuff that you put on your carpets to help pick up dirt and make them smell better; I had thought that my Superlite was picking it all up; not so. This vacuum sucked up so much of that crap that I had to empty the cup 3 times!! After I was finished I noticed that my flat, lifeless carpets had all been groomed during the vacuuming and were soft again!
I am incredibly impressed with this product!! It’s definitely worth the price, and if it fails in a few years, I will buy another one!

Pleasantly Surprised: A Value Sweeper That Provides Better than Expected Suction,
Over the years, I have come to hate the act of vacuuming. No matter which vacuum cleaner unit I’ve had, I always feel like I’m just pushing the debris around as opposed to sucking it up. Seriously, I got so sick of my useless vacuum cleaner one year, I went to the store and bought the most expensive one I could find. And at the expense of hundreds of dollars, I was still completely dissatisfied. To be candid, I have always owned traditional upright cleaners and never a WindTunnel model. When introduced under various brand names, these sweepers were prohibitively expensive. But as they have become more popular, the price has dropped AND different lower price options have become available. Hoover has an extensive selection and I was happy to sample their WindTunnel 2. I can’t say that I expected very much at this price point, but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised.
The WindTunnel 2 may not have every modern bell and whistle that you can expect on fancier and more expensive models, but I think it has a great deal of bang for the buck. I’m very surprised. On functional products, I rarely award greater than four stars. At four stars, something does what it is supposed to do. I’m actually going up to five stars because this exceeded my admittedly low expectations. It’s a really solid unit at a very reasonable price.
Pros:
Value For Price
Surprisingly Efficient Suction
HEPA Filter Keeps Dust Trapped And Easy To Wash
5 Settings For Multi-Floor Use
Accessory Pack of Attachments
Bagless With Dirt Cup
Cons:
Heavy
Some Assembly, But Not Difficult
As mentioned, there is some assembly required. But there are instructions and it is very intuitive as well. The attachments included are an extension wand, a crevice tool, a turbo tool and a dusting brush. So far, I have been very satisfied with the suction capability and would easily recommend the WindTunnel 2. KGHarris, 5/13.
