Does the job without giving me a headache,
I searched all over the internet to find carpet shampoo that was scent free. I finally found this Kirby product. I had never heard of Kirby and couldn’t find any reviews, but I thought I would give it a chance.
I’m happy I took a chance with this product. I am using it with my Hoover MaxExtract Dual V. Hoover recommends using their brand of shampoo, but they didn’t have an unscented product. The unscented Kirby works very well. It has a very slight odor. I’m not sure how to describe it other than it say it smells “clean.” I have an elderly dog who is known for pooping on my carpet at times and this shampoo whisks the smell away. I cannot say whether this product removes urine odors since my dog doesn’t have bladder incontinence. My carpet also became visibly cleaner after using this product (although, this is probably a function of the carpet cleaner and the shampoo combined).
I recommend this product to anyone who is sensitive to fragrances. It’s more expensive than other shampoos, but definitely worth it to me to avoid a headache.

Still seems to be as good a formulation as it was 20 years ago. In other words, they haven’t found a way to cut quality without customers knowing the difference.

|Amazing,
It is amazing how well this stuff cleans floors – we’ve lived in our house for 6 years with 4 active children. I attempt to clean at least every 6 months (though I aim for every 3-4) but the carpets are still in decent shape thanks to Kirby! Well worth the cost, and much easier (and cheaper) to order the shampoo online.

We moved into a forclosed home with beautiful cream colored carpet. However when we moved in there were grease stains everywhere. We were thinking of replacing all our carpet! Well,someone from Kirby came over and did a home demo. We bought one right on the spot. Going over my floor one time and not taking much time and the spots are unnoticable to anyone who hadn’t been here before. Going over it one more time get’s totally rid of it.
This was GREASE! We used everything before this. Rug doctor shampoo, and prespray, vinegar, washing soda, etc… Nothing worked until this. We are very happy and LOVE our new Kirby!
