I like the economical factor of buying in bulk. I would like to know if there were bigger packages other than 12.
I am very happy with this product.

    Stunning Vacuum, January 3, 2009

Spent good money to put high end Berber carpet in the house with persian carpets in the main formal area, then found out the challenges of having a single machine manage the cleaning without ruining the investment! The rollers that spin to create the air fow can catch the loops! I looked at lots of options from Simplicity to Dyson and the Miele 7280 was the Lexus of them all. One boundary condition for us was an upright.

The Miele has the same hinged movement as the Dyson so it is very easy to move around and the attachments are plug and play with simple end member push ins, it is very seamless to go from wood floors to marble to Berber carpet to attachments. LED headlights and the ability to go flat for under furniture are a big plus. I am using the suction only which is adjustable for now until I need to run the brush for a deep clean, by itself it does a great job. The HEPA filter is the best in business which was also a consideration.

What really sets off this Vacuum is the design, it is very high end at a reasonable price of $750. I am considering leaving it out of the closet it looks that good! The Dyson looks like a plastic toy and the Slimplicity looks like something my grandmother still uses, this is the Mercedes of Vacuum cleaners.

I really wanted a Miele because when I was young my brother had severe allergy problems and one of his primary allergens was dust. So my parents went all out on a Miele. We are 34 and 31 now. They STILL use it as their primary vacuum and still love it as well. Owning one was my dream but my husband wasn’t sold on the price tag, thinking that he’s bought vacuums at a fraction of a price that have worked for years. However, after checking out and trying numerous ones at the store and learning about filtration, this was one of the gold standards (as all Miele are). First, you want a bagged as opposed to bagless because it traps in the dust. This was important to me since I don’t open my windows in the winter to let in fresh air since I live in Michigan. Second, there are many layers to its filtration system, plus it is sealed into the vacuum so nothing can float back out into the air. Finally, its features are nice. Someone else acknowledged that the Carpet/Floor button is located right next to the on/off switch. Yes, on occasion I hit the wrong button. To me, big deal. I still have a beautiful vacuum that swivels like a dyson, has a bag unlike a Dyson, offers 4 different suction levels (for curtains, obviously light up to smooth floors, strongest), automatic height adjustment, and should last me until my one year old son is in college at least. I am thrilled.
