Cleans Up After The Beasts,
Pros:
* Strong sucking power, picks up all the hair, kitty litter, dust, pretty much everything.
* Roller blade wheels so once it’s on, it rolls smoothly.
* Different levels for different carpet types and bare floors.
* Telescopic duster, dust and then turn the lever and it will clean it for you.
* Power Paw brushroll, which I use on the cat pillows, curtains, chairs.
* HEPA filtration
* Smaller Brush attachment for sofas/chairs, blinds.
* Long cord so you can do an entire room, plus stairs – 30 ft cord.
Cons:
* Kind of heavy, you can push it around no problem but carrying up the stairs is a pain for me. My husband takes over in that case. I weighed it on a scale at 23.5 lbs.
* Cleaning it can be a hassle. It’s bagless and the cylinder opens from the bottom so just be sure to hold it inside of a garbage bag so you don’t make a mess. Also since we have two cats (one long hair, one short hair) and this vacuum captures hair so well, it ends up building a giant hair ball which you then have to stick your hand in to grab, or use an open wire hanger and pull towards the garbage bag.
* The filter on top is easy to access and you can clean it buy using a toothbrush to clean all the crevices and running it under water. The other HEPA filter is replaced every 6 months.
* The cord does not retract.
Observations:
* There are two power buttons, one for the main unit and the other to power on the brush, make sure you turn both on when you vacuum or it will feel ‘heavy’ when pushing it around and you won’t notice much sucking power.
* Be sure to connect the hose to the rollers when you first get it, otherwise it will feel and look like it’s not working.
* When you vacuum for about an hour or so or the vacuum detects a blockage it will shut off. You may be able to turn on the rollers but it will shut off when it’s upright. This is normal, give it 45 minutes to cool down and it will turn back on.
For the price and performance I would recommend it, it keeps our carpets clean and our sofas hair free. The beasts agree. It’s not 5 stars because of the weight and cleaning.
