At this price point it is hard to understand what a great product. Cyclone technology has been around for awhile and improvements have been made. We have another brand cyclonic vacuum which cost many times the price of this. The AirSpeed shines compared to our older unit. For example to use the attachments you need not remove the hose and insert it in a separate opening, simply turn a knob which directs the suction to the hose. The cord is longer, it is about thirty feet long and not nearly as stiff and unwieldy. It is light enough to easily carry around, which is important to us as we are late senior citizens. The noise level competes very well. The cleaning path is ample around thirteen inches or so. It comes with a hand held power brush, which Eureka calls the “Pet Paw” which is great on upholstered furniture….didn’t get that on our older vacuum—and we have used it. Very satisfied. The filters are washable and easy to remove and clean. I like the fact that it is easy to set the height for different floor coverings, also, to empty the dirt is a non-chore. I’m just saying that for this price, you get a lot of vacuum. Not everyone can afford five hundred bucks for something to vacuum with. I noticed that one reviewer had a problem with the belt, I have experienced no problems at all. I do know that belts need to be replaced from time to time, but usually last for a L O N G time…hope that will prove to be the case with ours. Eureka claims they have shortened the distance from the canister to the brushes to help improve the suction. I didn’t compare that claim but it does appear to be the way it is. If you are fortunate enough to get one of these I hope your experience is at least as positive as mine.

    UPDATE:
The neighbor lady came knocking wanting to borrow a vacuum as hers just bit the dust and she had company on the way. Was going to give her the old one, but wanting her opinion, gave her the AirSpeed. She returned it a few minutes ago. It was her first experience with a cyclonic unit, said she saw the Dyson’s advertised but just could not afford one. When I told her what these were selling for on Amazon she found it hard to believe. Thinks it would cost less to get one of these rather than have her old one repaired. Said this vacuum did an excellent job and would buy one. Well, for the same price you got my two-bits as well as my great neighbors.
