Excellent on bare floors. I’m not recommending it for carpets. This is the smartest bagless design I’ve seen; I didn’t think I’d find a bagless I liked. Moreover, bagless is overrated because bags aren’t much of an inconvenience at all. I researched on line and visited all the stores. Bed Bath & Beyond had this vac for the same price as Amazon- plus I could plug it in there and try it out for real.
Picks: Good dirt-collecting design for a bagless. Light weight. Good suction. Clever wand design detaches from the body for reaching awkward areas.
Pans: Cord is a little short. A little weak at the edge where the wall meets the floor.
This thing picks up cheerios and pet hair, paper clips, staples and anything else I don’t want my baby to eat off the floor. It is used daily. The carpet brush is capable of picking up tracked-in debris on the large entry rugs and low pile area rugs. IMO it is too light to be effective on thick pile carpets- even on low pile it takes a few passes to get it all.

I just got this vacuum (from BB&B store because they have a 20%-off coupon = $130 total & I could carry it home instead of waiting for shipping to arrive) & I absolutely love it on my carpets!
It has surprisingly powerful suction for such a compact unit & I even bypassed the Navigator Lift Away (which I planned to get) in favor of this one because I liked how it performed even better than the Lift Away despite its smaller size. It lifts up the nap on my trampled carpets & makes them look new again. This vacuum pulls out so much dirt, dust, hair & fibers from my carpets that my old canister vacuum left behind. The beater brush (which has a button to turn off for use on bare floors) is fantastic.
The dirt cup is large enough capacity for my apt (2 bdrm, no stairs), it empties out easily, & the filter needs only occasional rinsing (every 3 mos of regular use) to maintain its wonderful strong suction. The hose is convertible & comes w/2 attachments which store on the vacuum body when not being used. I love that the brush propels the vacuum across the floor which makes it easier to maneuver & beats all the ground-in dirt & particles out of the nap thoroughly. Dealing w/my old canister vacuum for 10 yrs was such a hassle, I’m happy that it finally broke so I could get a better vacuum! This vacuum actually makes housework a joy & I hope it lasts as long as my old vacuum did – it’s made of lightweight plastic (weighs almost 11 lbs) so I’m concerned about breakage of at some time in the future (wheels, brush, or any important connections/latches). Hope it’s as sturdy & reliable as it is powerful! So far I absolutely love it. I don’t despise vacuuming anymore, now I look forward to cleaning up my carpets & I love that it stores upright in a small corner – no more packing away a canister set into a box each time!

My wife and I purchased this vacuum mainly because it is lightweight and the reviews stated it doesn’t loose suction. After using it for about a month of, it comes through on both fronts. It is easy to maneuver on the stairs, lightweight enough to lift up and down the stairs, and all the while not needing to be emptied often. It has functional features and is less expensive than a Dyson. Overall, a great vacuum and well worth the money.
