I first purchased a knock off battery which only lasted for 10 min of usage. Since it was less than $20 I figured it would not last.
This battery was $75 online and name brand. This new battery only runs for 30 mins in my roomba. Poor quality again?

I thought I would save money and go for a replacement battery for a fraction of the cost. However, “Rosie the Roomba” kept giving me error messages when trying to charge it. Err 1 and 5 are associated with the battery. The Roomba 500 requires an OEM factory battery – no discussion. Don’t get cute and try to save money because you’ll just end up returning the non-OEM. This battery does the trick. I installed it, then clicked dock on the machine. Rosie crawled up on the cradle to charge with no error message. I even let her go around the house for a few minutes to make sure she wouldn’t yell with an error. We have a winner here!
