It is a great helper, does not eliminate the need to vacuum yourself but it does eliminate having to move things around to sweep underneath. rollers to not get tangled even with picking up my wife’s long hair. I do wish the hepa filter was easier to clean out. good product though.

This is my second Roomba… vastly improved over my old model 650… It has a better filtering system, it picks up a lot finer dirt and it operates much quieter than the 650…

Boy, I really wanted to like this device. It was intended to make life easier for the customer but this was not the case for me at all. It was supposed to be plug and play but that was not the case for me. I researched Roombas and found that this one was supposed to work best with pet hair–sadly that is not the case. The following are the reasons I had to return it:
    1) The Roomba only cleaned half of our small “great room” (approximately 600 s.f.) before it had to recharge. It spent most of its time cleaning the kitchen. Our house is only 1400 s.f.
    2) The one lighthouse that came with the Roomba did not deter the Roomba from continually bumping into the pet dishes yet the Roomba directions showed lighthouse’s use for this very purpose. In my opinion, this lighthouse is not all that useful.
    3) I had to clean out the collection bin 2x and the wheels 2x to allow it to continue. Very small bin. The point of this was to vacuum while I was doing other things.
    4) Seemed better at balling up pet hair and leaving it for me to pick up.
    5) The amount of time I spent babysitting the device during its cleaning cycle coupled with having to follow up with my old upright vacuum, actually negates keeping this device.

    Disappointing to say the least.
