Wanted To Love It, But The Tech Isnât There Yet,
It was the opposite.
Roomba couldnât negotiate hardwood floors to carpeting. The device would get stuck when it hit an area rug. Think about that. It couldnât get on top of an area rug!
Roomba would skip our entire living room, I had to pick it up and place it in that room if I wanted it clean.
Roomba couldnât even find its home base…even though the device was right in front of it! I watched it try to figure out how to get âhomeâ for five minutes with the base right there next to it.
Any cleaning job takes at least an hour plus, which means 1-2 filter empties. Think about that. Wanna run the machine while youâre out? Good luck. It will be full within 15 minutes or so.
Bottom line is you wind up spending *more* time babysitting your fancy new robot vacuum than if you just pulled out a regular one and did it yourself.

No, it doesn’t “do” baseboards or reach into some weird spaces between walls and furniture – but neither did my husband!
I HIGHLY recommend a roomba, and most especially paying up for the 960 model with phone app.
