We needed something that would work well on a solid wood floor and still transition to carpet. This is a great vacuum & worth the cost!! It is lightweight and very easy to use. It turns so easily and does not get caught on furniture. The attachments allow a person to clean anything–it has worked very well on upholstery also.The way the attachments are completely contained & close at hand is a big plus.Even though it is not a heavy appliance, the suction is better than a heavier vacuum I own. It is very flexible & can go around and get under furniture, cabinets etc. that are low to the ground.It also makes sweeping stairways a breeze! I love the fact that it glides smoothly and does not scratch the flooring the way a heavier vacuum could. Because it is so light and easy to use, my 11 year old now can sweep and even enjoys it!! I do not think anyone would be disappointed with purchasing this vacuum.
