It’s a winner!,
I had 2 Dyson uprights, that were ok for basic carpet, but were to bulky to get under much. They were terrible, I thought, on hard wood floors. The last new Dyson I had put a big scratch on my Brazilian cherry floors! Every time I wanted to use the Dyson, I’d have to go outside to empty the dirt bin. I liked the idea of not needing to buy bags, but it’s really messy to dump out and dust goes everywhere. Plus, it had to be emptied all the time. The Dyson attachments are cumbersome to set up and use. The Dyson vacuums I had were very loud and heavy too.
I even tried a Robo vacuum for in between floor cleanings and found that it was too loud, plus it ripped fringe off my expensive imported heirloom rug. It would get stuck and make very loud announcements that would wake up my baby. I returned it. It was not at all worth the $350 I paid for it. I had other budget vacuums over the years as well.
The Miele Marin is very light, quiet and super versatile. It really does a great job. I’ve been vacuuming more than I ever have in my life and haven’t needed to empty the bag since I’ve own it (about 2 months). The bag it’s even 1/2 full because it packs the dirt inside the bag until it’s brick hard. I love the super filtration system. This vacuum can easily reach several feet under most furniture, especially with the parquet twister on wood or tile floors. The attachments are quick and easy to use. The canister unit tracks amazingly well and the soft coated wheels don’t scratch my floors. This thing is tough too. It has a none crush hose and the canister is so strong, you can stand on it.
This was a lot to spend on a vacuum, but I’m glad I did. It’s great on carpet, wood, tile and cars and just about anything you could need to vacuum. I never write reviews, but I read them all the time. I hope this information helps.
