Excellent Vacuum Cleaner,
PROS:
Vacuum cleaner is wonderful on carpets. It has the old-fashioned beater bar type brush roll that taps the carpet to bring the dirt/sand to the surface so it can be sucked into the bag. This vacuum is not recommended for bare floors, but it worked fine on a vinyl floor with the height adjustment set to the right position.
The vacuum is not extremely loud, it sort of purrs on carpet because of the beater bar. It is not nearly as loud as some of the cheaper bagless vacs.
This vacuum takes F&G style bags, that can be purchased online, Kmart, Ace Hardware or your local vacuum shop. Having a bag is a good thing, it is less messy (despite what bagless vacuum manufacturers say)and since the F&G bag has a large surface area the vacuum doesn’t lose suction easily.
CONS:
The handle would have been better if it was made out of metal. However if the handle does break a replacement can be purchased from a good vac shop. The cord is somewhat short but adding an extension cord is not a problem.
There are no attachments included in the box, but a set can be purchased here on Amazon. Do not expect the attachments to have overwhelming suction, because this vacuum is not designed to be a canister vacuum. But the attachments should be fine for dusting and cleaning upholstery.
